The RE/MAX Luxury Report for 2023 is located at this link HERE
My market update is below for all Whistler properties over $3,000,000CAD.
Being one-third into 2023 at 21 listings, we are on track to reach about 63 sales of properties over $3M in 2023. This should put us ahead of 2023 however, almost half of 2021 sales. The number of active listings is up, however, we are seeing a softening of prices with a much bigger difference between the list and sale prices for the first half of 2023.

There is no restriction on who can buy a property in Whistler. The 2 year restriction for foreign buyers are related to towns with larger populations and Whistler is still a small town! Did you know that our population is just under 14,000 full time residents and approximately 10,000 more of second home owners? We can host up to 60,000 people at prime tourism seasons (including our regular population).
Based on the 2021 census information, Whistler is not located within a "Census Metropolitan Area" nor a "Census Agglomeration" - both of which are populations of more than 100,000.

This makes it a highly attractive location for people looking to own a vacation property or a rental property to capitalize on the strong demand for short-term rentals.
Whistler has a limited supply of housing due to strict zoning regulations and environmental protections, which can create a strong market for real estate. The demand for properties in Whistler has historically outpaced the supply, which has led to an increase…
