Sea to Sky Real Estate Update
WHISTLER's real estate market saw a total dollar volume of just over $34 Million in June in a total of 30 transactions: 8 of which were condo sales, 12 were townhome sales and 2 were chalet sales. We’ve often seen chalet sales dominate the Whistler market for dollar volume, but in June Townhome sales contributed the largest dollar volume with a total of just over $11 Million!

Property sales in PEMBERTON brought in $2.5 Million in dollar volume in June 2019, with a total of 5 property sales. Of those, 1 was a chalet sale of $985,000, 2 were condo sales with a combined total of $609,000 , and there was 1 townhome sale of $599,000.
The SQUAMISH real estate market in June brought in a total dollar volume of just over $34 Million. There were a total of 30 property transactions reported: 11 single-family home sales, 21 townhome sales, and 10 condo sales. Townhome sales made up the most of the total dollar volume last month, just under $12 Million!
Ottawa investing $7.3M in new 24-unit Whistler staff housing project
"THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT has announced it will invest $7.3 million in a new 24-unit staff rental housing building in Cheakamus Crossing as part of Ottawa’s National Housing Strategy.
The four-storey development is planned for 1020 Legacy Way and will include four studio, 13 one-bedroom and seven two-bedroom units. The Whistler Housing Authority (WHA) project will add 53 beds to the community’s housing stock." Read the full article by The Pique Newsmagazine , here.
