Sea to Sky Real Estate Update

WHISTLER's real estate market saw a total dollar volume of approximately $65 Million in October in a total of 55 transactions.  23 of the transactions were for condo sales, 20 were townhome sales and 8 were chalet sales. Chalet sales lead the Whistler market for dollar volume in October, with a total of over $21 Million with townhomes sales lower last month with $16 Million dollar volume in October sales.

Property sales in PEMBERTON brought in just over $5 Million in dollar volume in October 2019, with a total of 8 property sales. Of those, 2 were chalets sales totaling $2.8 Million.  There was a sharp increase in Pemberton Condo sales with Dollar Volume rising from $200k in September to over $1 million in October 2019.

The SQUAMISH real estate market in October brought in a total dollar volume of just over $32 Million. There were a total of 46 property transactions reported: 16 single-family home sales matching September numbers, 29 townhome sales, and 16 condo sales. Single-family home sales made up most of the total dollar volume last month, just over $17 Million total value.

Whistler Homeowners Encouraged to Sign Up For Whistler Alert 

"Whistler Alert sends out mass notifications by text, email and phone call with up-to-date information in the event of an emergency. Those who have registered for the service will be notified when there is a situation "involving an imminent or possible threat to lives or property in Whistler," the RMOW said in a release."

The minor amendment would re-designate an area adjacent to the Sunstone Ridge development from "special planning area" to "residential," allowing Sunstone Development Ltd. to move forward with a plan to create nine new 2,000-square-metre "estate lots" and enlarge four existing lots."
