Sea to Sky Real Estate Update

WHISTLER's real estate market saw a total dollar volume of just under $42 Million in July in a total of 38 transactions: 12 of which were condo sales, 12 were townhome sales and 8 were chalet sales. Chalet sales lead the Whistler market for dollar volume in July, with a total of just over $18 Million!

Property sales in PEMBERTON brought in just over $6 Million in dollar volume in July 2019, with a total of 10 property sales. Of those, 3 were chalets sales totalling $3.45 Million, 2 were condo sales, and there were 2 townhome sales.

The SQUAMISH real estate market in July brought in a total dollar volume of just over $21 Million. There were a total of 28 property transactions reported: 13 single-family home sales, 15 townhome sales, and 4 condo sales. Single Family Home sales made up the most of the total dollar volume last month, just under $12 Million total.

New faces joining Whistler Housing Authority board 
Dale Mikkelsen appointed director

"G.D. Maxwell to fill employee housing community representative role" According to an article by The Pique Newsmagazine, which you can read here. "Following a public expression of interest to fill the vacant seat on the WHA board, Dale Mikkelsen was successfully appointed as the new director," Crompton said in his mayor's report at the Aug. 13 council meeting."

Habitat for Humanity coming to the Sea to Sky Corridor — maybe

"What we are talking about doing is forming a new chapter, which would encompass the Sea to Sky," said Laurie Vance, board chair of the Sunshine Coast group. "We are extending our hands out to the Sea to Sky to say, 'Hey, if you are interested, we have some opportunities and we will help you form a chapter and get up and running.'"
