What is Phase 2 Nightly Rental Zoning?

A good portion of Whistler's full-service hotels are zoned phase 2 nightly rental which restricts owner personal use to 28 days winter and 28 days summer.  Any time that you are not personally using your suite, it is mandatory that it be part of the hotel rental pool.  They are freehold ownership with this Municipal zoning.  The more you use your suite, the lower your revenue.

Other examples of hotels with the phase 2 nightly rental zoning include The Four Seasons Resort Hotel (not the Private Residences); Blackcomb Springs Suites; Pan Pacific Mountainside, Pan Pacific Whistler Village Centre; Delta Whistler Village Suites; Pinnacle Resort Hotel; Cascade Lodge. 

The Hilton Whistler Resort is a phase 1 nightly rental hotel, however, all rentals must be done through the front desk.
