Sea to Sky Real Estate Update

WHISTLER's real estate market saw a total dollar volume of $33.6 Million in May in a total of 35 transactions: 22 of which were condo sales, 7 were townhome sales and 4 were chalet sales. We’ve often seen chalet sales dominate the Whistler market for dollar volume, but in May it was Condo sales that contributed the largest dollar volume with a total of just over $14.5 Million!

Property sales in PEMBERTON brought in $4.2 Million in dollar volume in May 2019, with a total of 7 property sales. Of those, 4 were chalet sales totalling $4.6 Million in dollar volume, 4 condo sales with a combined total of $1.4 Million, and 2 were townhome sales totalling $1.2 Million.

The SQUAMISH real estate market in May brought in a total dollar volume of just over $32 Million. There were a total of 40 property transactions reported: 18 single-family home sales, 19 townhome sales, and 8 condo sales. Single Family Home sales made up the most of the total dollar volume last month, just under $20 Million!

Pemberton Chamber secures $100,000 for economic development strategy and action plan

WHILE ECONOMIC ACTIVITY may be humming along in the Pemberton Valley, some feel the area lacks a clear vision for how things should unfold in the coming decades.

That is about to change, as a group of stakeholders has just secured a $100,000 provincial government grant to develop a Community Economic Development Strategy and Action Plan for the area.

June 1 - August 31:These daily guided tours of Whistler Village are led by longtime locals who are keen to share their knowledge of Whistler's unique history. Experience first-hand this valley's many transformations from a pioneer logging camp, to a remote fishing retreat, fledgling ski area, squatter's paradise, world-renowned destination resort, Olympic Games host, and beyond! Tours depart daily from the Visitor Information Centre at 11 AM and are by donation. Tours are approximately one hour and are not physically strenuous.
