It's not hard to never leave this mountain town with all the amazing things to do right outside your door step. From skiing to biking, and everything in-between, there are endless activities in Whistler to keep you busy. That being said, it is always nice to break things up with day trip to a neighbouring city! Whistler lies conveniently in the middle of the Sea to Sky Corridor, making it an easy location to travel to and from. We have gathered up a few of the day trips from Whistler for when you feel like exploring what the nearby areas have to offer!

Squamish

Just 30 minutes south from Whistler, Squamish is another mountain town waiting to be explored. Also home to some more world class mountain biking, Squamish is known as the outdoor activity capital of North America. Head down into town to have a pint at the Howe Sound Brewery or to take in the view from the harbour. If you feel like being outdoorsy, visit Alice Lake or hike the infamous Chief!

Pemberton

A sleepy village located 25 minutes north. Pemberton is in a valley that sits below the spectacular Mount Currie. Visit North Arm Farm to pick up the seasonal produce and don't forget to stop in at one of the delicious local restaurants such as Mile One. There are some stunning hikes surrounding town such as Nairn Falls or One Mile Lake that will help you work up an appetite!

Lillooet

A 2 hour drive north from Whistler, Lillooet will take your breath away with the difference in terrain. Once you cross over the Duffy which is a continuation of highway 99 that travels through a mountain pass, you will find yourself in a dry, desert like town. Lillooet is home to many outdoor activities, however, lingering for a while at the beautiful Seton Lake might take precedent!

Vancouver

Just an 1.5 hours south of Whistler, Vancouver is a hustling and bustling metropolitan city. It's proximity makes for a great day trip but with everything to do in the city, you may want to make it a weekend excursion! Take a walk around Stanley park, catch up on some shopping or indulge in the many foodie options all over the city!

Bellingham

Only 2.5 hours away from Whistler, Bellingham is often over looked as a day trip because of having to cross the border. Take your bikes to ride of the pacific northwest trails or leave them at home to enjoy a local brewery tour. This city has lots of outdoor activities in addition to biking such as hiking and boat tours! Bellingham also has great shopping and a budding food culture!

So go on, hop in the car and just drive! In both the north and south directions from Whistler, there are towns and cities waiting to be explored. Don't worry, there will be plenty of activities left to do if you spend a day away from town! Looking to make your home in heart of the Sea to Sky corridor? Let's talk today!
