Being a RE/MAX associate is more than just helping clients achieve their home or property dreams. As an associate, we take great pride in giving back to our community, helping better it for our children and future neighbors. One of such ways is devoting time to fundraising for countless charities and local causes. For a number of years, The Children’s Miracle Network is one charity that RE/MAX has remained heavily involved in fundraising for.

Just what is the Children’s Miracle Network? In Canada, this charity raises funds and awareness for 14 children’s hospitals. The donations that are collected stay regionally and are directed to support critical treatments, healthcare services, pediatric medical equipment and research. Additionally, funds are allocated to ensure that programs exist that are devoted to children’s mental and physical health thus encouraging our future to thrive.

To show our commitment to helping local hospitalized children and to The Children’s Miracle Network, RE/MAX associates display a Miracle Home sign rider on property listings. This display means that the associate has voluntarily pledged a portion of their income from the sale of that particular home to the Children’s Miracle Network and it will directly go to one of the 14 hospitals that are closest to their community. This display has helped RE/MAX associates in North America collectively raise over $115 million since 1992.

In October, The Leading Edge Real Estate Team Whistler participated in the Children’s Miracle Network Fundraising at Re/MAX of Western Canada 33rd Annual Conference. This is just one of the fundraising events for the Children’s Miracle Network and countless other causes all year long. The donation of one of our black teddy bear’s contributed to a record-breaking year of donations, higher than the previous record broke in 2012! We are thankful that one of our bears could be part of such a worthwhile achievement.

Collectively, RE/MAX understands that is important to nurture and participate in the creation of great communities. A stepping stone to building neighborhoods that families want to watch their children grow up in is supporting local programs and organizations.
